Comparing and contrasting major parts of Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, to how they were depicted in the movie. From there they will create an essay that focuses on if the book or movie was better.

4th grade week of May 20th

This week we will be finishing working on Fantastic Mr. Fox.
The students will use the text and clips from the Fantastic Fox movie to compare and contrast, finishing by completing a persuasive essay explaining which they felt was the better story.

1.     What are the important parts of this part of the story?

2.     On pages 58-59 Mr. Fox explains to Badger why he is stealing food. Find his reason. What do you think about it?

3.     What did you learn about Rat?

4.     What makes Mr. Fox fantastic? Do you think he’s fantastic? Are there other adjectives that could be used to describe him?

5.     If you could use adjectives to name the farmers, what would you use?
