Students will be working on identifying how characters change throughout a story, and the lessons learned throughout those changes.

Finding text evidence from an informational text "Earthquake".
The children will be writing opinion essays that are supported by textual evidence.
They will be taking their book test on Tuesday.
 We will also be starting a new fictional story called Quake, about a young boy surviving an Earthquake.

We will be working on comparing and contrasting characters, and how their actions navigate the storyline.

1. Identifying the main idea and key supporting details in a non-fiction book.
2. Using the book Earthquakes, the students will be identifying the format of a non- fiction text and how each section has different messages that the author wants to get across.
