Weekly Vocabulary

This week students will be having  a vocabulary test on all the words they have learned so far. It is their job to look back at all the words they have learned and study them. The test will be on Thursday.

Incarnation: the truth that the Son of God became a man.

Assignments

5th Grade has a grammar test on Thursday.

6th Grade has a grammar test on Wednesday and Friday their saint projects are due on Thursday.
homework due Tuesday PAGE Practice A questions 6-15 questions and answers.

7th Grade students will have a grammar test on Tuesday and Thursday they will also have to have research on a saint in by Wednesday.

8th Grade will have a grammar test on Tuesday and on Thursday

Weekly Vocabulary

1. Canonize: To declare somebody as a saint.
2. Beseech: To ask earnestly or beg somebody to do something.
3. Memoir: a biography or an account of historical events, especially one written from personal knowledge.
4. Orthodox: a follower of traditional or established beliefs or rules, or a member of an Orthodox denomination.
5. Persist: to continue steadily or obstinately despite problems, difficulties, or obstacles.

Reminder to parents

1. If homework is not handed in the day it is due the students will receive a detention.
2. If students do not follow direction when writing their papers they cannot receive full credit. When the directions say to write 4 paragraphs and each paragraph has 6 sentences, I am expecting to see that in your child's work.

Students will be working on their Snap Shots this week.

6th Grade
Students will have to research a saint, they must have information for class on Wednesday.  If students have their information on their flash drives it will not be accepted, the information must be printed out for class.

7th Grade
Students will have a spelling test on Wednesday, they will  also have a grammar test on Thursday.

8th Grade
Students will have a grammar test on Thursday.
