Question for Video of  Leonard Nimoy reads Ray Bradbury's "There Will Come Soft Rains" from "The Martian Chronicles"Click for Video Due Wednesday. 

1. How is the house given life during the short story, what elements/details are there to make it seem as thought the house is alive?
2. What elements of science fiction is found throughout the short story?
3. What emotions does the fire try to evoke, how does that description of the fire and the way the house reacts to that fire showing a form of emotion, almost real life.
4. How is a connection created between the reader and the why the narrator gives a description of the house and its daily routine.

1. Compare and contrast the story with the video "A Day Made of Glass". What is the same and different?
2. Could Today's technology result in the same "ending" as a short story, why or why not?
3. What would it be like if schools were made of glass?

Due Friday Beatitudes project:
Students must create a creative depiction of the Beatitudes. They will be graded on insuring that the information of the Beatitudes are all there a written correctly as well as how creative they are in showing the Beatitudes.
Below are examples of creativity in showing the Beatitudes. Students may use them as a guide but so not copy them exactly. I'm looking for their creativity not copying another person.
