weekly vocabulary

Invention (noun): A new, useful process, machine, improvement, etc., that did not exist previously and that is recognized as the product of some unique intuition or genius, as distinguished from ordinary mechanical skill or craftsmanship.

Participation (noun): The fact of taking part, as in some action or attempt: participation in a celebration.
Diversity: The state or fact of being diverse; difference; unlikeness.
Idiom: (noun): An expression whose meaning is not predictable from the usual meanings of its constituent elements, as kick the bucket  or hang one's head 
Paraphrase(noun): A restatement of a text or passage giving the meaning in another form, as for clearness; rewording.
