Weekly Vocabulary

Compare: is a verb that means to examine two or more items for the purpose of noting both similarities and/or differences.


Contrast: is a verb or a noun that means difference (noun) or to present a difference (verb).

apposition: A noun or pronoun placed after another noun or pronoun to identify, rename, or explain it. 

paraphrase:A restatement in one’s own words that stays true to the ideas, tone, and general length of the original passage.

bias: An inclination for or against that inhibits impartial judgment; one-sidedness, partiality, partisanship, prejudice.
