On 1/9 all classes (5-8) were apart of a bullying lecture given by Officer James Thorten. All students must write an essay explaining what they learned during this lecture.
5th and 6th grade must write a 4 paragraph essay.
7th and 8th must write a 5 paragraph essay.
The following points must be addressed during the essay.
All essays are DUE 1/13/12
Like all assignments if it is not handed in on Friday 1/13 students will receive a zero and a grade.
1. Officer Thorten talked about the many dangers that come with putting too much information on the internet. How have you reconsidered your own personal internet usage, and how will you change the type of information you allow on the internet.
2. Officer Thorten also informed you on many cases where people were not safe with the information they put on the internet and the people they were talking to. Discus One case Officer Thorten brought to your attention, how you will change your personal internet usage to protect yourself from falling victim to internet predators.
3. Finally Officer Thorten talked about cyberbulling, and how it can really hurt someone so much they take their own life. What will you do online to insure that you will not take part of cyberbulling, and what will you do if you see it happening to someone.
