Weekly Vocabulary

1. bracelet-(noun) Jewelry worn around the arm or wrist.
2. Fahrenheit- (adj) Relating to a temperature scale where water   freezes at 32 degrees and boils at 212 degrees. 
3. mantle- (noun) The layer of the earth that is just under the top layer or the crust.
4. jewelry- (noun) Decorations for the body; rings, bracelets, earrings, and necklaces.
5. unearth- (verb) To dig out of the ground.
6. sapphire- (noun) A gem that is blue in color.
7. gem- (noun) A stone that is worth a lot of money; a stone used in jewelry.
8. ruby- (noun) A gem that is deep red in color.
9. emerald- (noun) A gem that is deep green in color.
10. glimmer- (verb) To appear to give off a dim light.
11. discoverer- (noun) A person who finds something.
12. destination- (noun) The place to which someone is going.
13. navigate- (verb) To steer a boat or plane.
14. sunken- (adj) Resting under the water.
15. billow- (noun) A large wave.
16. evidence- (noun) A sign that something is there or has happened. A handshake is evidence of good will.
17. undersea- (adj) Beneath the surface of the sea.
18. buoy- (noun) A float used as a warning or marker.
19. hull- (noun) The frame of a ship.
20. scuba- (adj) Using equipment for breathing underwater.
